Summary: Excellen watch Comment: This is the "James Bond" seamaster watch with quartz movement; very happy with it, fine craftsmanship as you would expect from Omega; not too heavy, just the right solid touch for me. At first I was a little wary about purchasing a top branded watch online but faith in the Amazon reputation made me decide to proceed (actually reseller Perfect Timing supplied it) and it's been a great buy with a hefty discount to boot compared to the mall stores. Just to be sure, I brought it to the local Omega service shop and it's been certified genuine and the real thing. Wearing this watch always makes me feel good whether in formal, informal or sports settings and just for that alone its worth every cent paid for. I just wish it had the laser cutter too! :)

Summary: Great for what it is Comment: The 2008 James Bond movie (still to be launched at time of writing) will feature agent 007 wearing a Omega Seamaster with black dial. The black dial Seamaster's and special edition James Bond Seamaster (black)are already available with Authorized Dealers. That said, I have been wanting to buy a Omega Seamaster ever since 'Golden eye' hit the big screen and I strongly felt that the blue color was what set Omega apart and that Omega was known from it's blue James Bond watches. Black may be trendy but blue is the given timeless classic.
Buying this watch was a bit of an anticlimax -I had been eyeing it for ten years and when I finally had it in possession, I felt nothing... I've owned several larger chronographs with more flash to them so in a sense putting the Omega 41mm Seamaster on my wrists feels almost like a "downgrade". Why? Because this watch is lighter and sits lower.
The watch is very nice to and you feel precision in every part. It is also a watch that will work with every occasion: not flashy like a Breitling (don't wear for dinners or business meetings) or vulgar like a gold Rolex (you own a strip club or you spend too much time flying to LAS).
Undoubtedly this is one superb watch but if anything I wish that I had decided for the Seamaster Chronograph being that it is more bulky and perhaps a little less refined, while still maintaining a good balance and an all event type application.

Summary: Long time owner Comment: I've owned the quartz version of the James Bond Omega since the first year it was introduced. I think I bought it more than ten years ago. I own many watches and this is my favorite and the best I own. Battery life is five plus years. The watch has a built in warning of low battery (second hand jumps every two seconds) and leaves you at least a month to change it after the warning. Accuracy is remarkable. Because you don't have to stop the watch to adjust for daylight savings time, I can say that the watch gains fewer than five seconds per year; this is why I don't understand why one would buy a mechanical version. While the case has endured reasonable scratches, the crystal is perfect. I paid about $800 (discounted) for the watch many years ago and have never regretted the purchase. I can sell it today on ebay for about what I paid for it. What other new product can you say that about? You will never regret buying this watch.

Summary: Outstanding Watch Comment: The Omega Seamaster James Bond Edition is an excellent value for the money. Make sure you purchase it at a licensed Omega Watch Dealer or your warranty will not be valid.
The Seamaster has a steel case and steel bracelet. The crystal is a scratch proof sapphire crystal. After 3 years of owning the watch, it does not have a scratch. The crystal is coated on the inside to protect the dial. I have worn it daily in a variety of activities, including up in the mountains in snow, bodysurfing on sandy beaches, and trekking through dusty terrain. The steel case and bracelet have some scratches but still appear very sharp. The bracelet is solid and closes extremely well with a push button clasp.
The watch has a rotating bezel. The bezel is unidirectional and somewhat difficult to turn compared to other watches. My bezel has faded slightly after much time in the sun. If the bezel stops turning or is extremely difficult to rotate as mine was after a trip overseas (in very dusty conditions), you can take it to a watch shop and have them lubricate it. Do not try this yourself - it is messy and if you use the wrong lubricant it will coagulate and cause you more problems than you started with.
The Seamaster has a date window, second, minute and hour hand. I find that my watch (the Automatic with Chronometer) will lose a few seconds every day. I have to update the time for an approximate 5 minute discrepancy every month. The dial has luminous markers which are clearly visible at night. The dial also has a very pleasing wave pattern.
The back of the watch has the Seamaster logo and the wave pattern. This unique design prevents slipping when you wear the strap a little loose like I do. I have never used the helium release valve, but hope to soon.
This watch is discreet enough to not attract the wrong kind of attention. Also the watch is waterproof to a 1000ft, I've taken it to a fraction of that and found it reliable and easy to read underwater.
I would highly recommend this watch. It is casual enough to wear with shorts and a T-shirt and fits just as well with a Tuxedo.

Summary: Very poor quality and no customer support Comment: I purchased a Seamaster and it stopped working in 6 months. The US service center said they would not fix it because I didn't save the warranty card. It cost me $400 to get if fixed.
I would never buy another Omega.
